Propiedades y características de la madera del Pino Insigne:
El Pino Insigne tiene un crecimiento rápido. Debido a ello, se emplea en las reforestaciones y destaca por el buen aprovechamiento de su madera. En la madera de pino Insigne, como ocurre con otras especies de coníferas, la albura y el duramen están poco diferenciados. El color de la albura de esta especie de madera es blanco amarillento y el duramen posee tonalidad parda amarillenta tirando a marrón. Esta madera destaca por su fibra recta, el grano varía de fino a medio y los anillos son gruesos y visibles, pudiendo alcanzar espesores desde 1 a 5 cm.
La madera de pino insigne es considerada una madera medianamente semidura, con una densidad de unos 500 kg/m3 .
Sus propiedades mecánicas son las siguientes:
• Flexión estática: 83 – 85 N/mm2
• Módulo de elasticidad: 8.630 – 8.800 N/mm2
• Compresión axial: 40 – 42 N/mm2
• Compresión perpendicular: 5.7 – 6.2 N/mm2

MADERA CERTIFICADA
Los Pinos Muebles está comprometido con la sostenibilidad y el medio ambiente.
Cumplimos con el reglamento del PARLAMENTO Europeo y del CONSEJO del 20 Octubre de 2010 (EUTR-UE Nº 995 / 2010) , por el que establecen las obligaciones de los agentes que comercializan la madera y productos de derivados de la madera.
El material forestal suministrado no procede de zonas en conflicto, órganos genéticamente modificados, de la conversión de bosques en otro tipo de vegetación ni de la conversión de bosques primarios en plantaciones forestales.
El tipo de madera empleada es pino Insignes o Radiata de origen chileno y español. Este tipo de madera puede ser secada en horno, obteniendo un contenido de humedad entre el 8% / 12%, para obtener madera duradera y estable para asegurar su durabilidad. El proceso de secado se hace en cámara libre de tratamientos químicos.
